In 2015 Alain Castex sells Le Casot des Maioilles, keeping a tiny vineyard where wine production continues. The single hectare of vineyard where “Les Vins de Cabanon” now produces is located on the sandy and clayey soils of Trouillas, inland from Banyuls and follows the same natural principles that he used at “Le Casot “. Production is minimal, with just a couple of thousand bottles. His wines are vibrant, energetic and very pleasant. His dedication and commitment have earned him the respect he deserves over the years and today his bottles are highly sought after by enthusiasts.
