Michaël Georget is located in the village of Laroque des Albères in Roussillon, just northwest of Perpignan. Although only 32 years old, he trained deeply working with Alsace producers, such as Jean Schaetzel, before setting up his own business. Arriving in Laroque des Albères he found an abandoned vineyard for twenty years, restoring it, along with some old winemaking equipment and several old furniture that the locals called “Le Temps Retrouvé”, hence the name of the domaine. In total he works 3 hectares of old vineyards, carignan, macabeu, grenache blanc and grenache noir. The soil is a varied mix of clay, silica, shale, quartz and gneiss. Michaël wines are given by time, long wait and patience, in fact the wines are not placed on the market until they have reached the right balance and complexity.
